Brand-specific gas fireplace support

A Montigo fireplace repair can involve the appliance controls, a separate remote accessory or an approved power-vent system. Record the fireplace model and the accessory information together. Replacing the visible remote will not correct every ignition or vent-related fault.

Separate current Montigo models from legacy appliances

Montigo provides current manuals and residential parts drawings, with a separate discontinued-product library. DelRay and Distinction documentation sit alongside fan, remote and power-vent instructions. An appliance manual alone may not describe every accessory installed in the home.

Montigo states that replacement parts for the products covered by its discontinued-product page are no longer supported. It lists limitations affecting burners, log sets, conversion kits and other items, while noting that some gas controls or limit switches may be available elsewhere. Availability still needs model-specific approval; a supplier listing does not establish suitability.

The details that change the repair path

Symptom or installation What to send before the visit
Remote responds; fireplace will not ignite A remote photo, exact appliance label and any indicator or error message.
Fan or lights are missing from normal operation Identify the installed accessory and whether the problem began after controls were changed.
Power vent starts; burner does not light Record the vent-kit identification and the order of events without repeated restarts.
Older Montigo with a damaged burner or logs Full model details and a photo of the damaged component for a support check.

Restore operation without guessing at a conversion

Start with diagnosis of the installed system. A control-setting issue may need adjustment within the owner instructions. Confirmed damaged wiring, a pilot component or a control can need replacement. If an approved upgrade kit is proposed, the quotation should identify the compatible kit and what else must change with it.

For discontinued equipment, request a parts-support decision early. A failed serviceable control and an unavailable model-specific burner lead to different options. Do not approve a generic burner, improvised safety switch or home-made log arrangement to keep an obsolete fireplace running.

Tell us about built-in cabinetry or finish work that restricts service access. The cost and practicality of getting to the failed part belong in the repair comparison.

When replacement deserves a site estimate

If a required approved component is unavailable, compare a new appliance rather than a series of speculative orders. Include the vent route, power-vent needs, electrical supply, service access and finishing in that comparison. The size of the opening alone does not make a new Montigo a direct substitute.

Questions before you book

Can every older Montigo be repaired?

The answer depends on the confirmed fault, condition and approved parts support. The discontinued-product limitations must be checked for the exact appliance.

Can I add a different remote to fix ignition?

First identify the existing controls and fault. An accessory upgrade is appropriate only when its compatibility and installation requirements are established.

Local repair and your next decision

Bernoulli Heating & Cooling serves Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Book a diagnostic visit for a fault, choose fireplace service for planned maintenance, or compare fireplace installation and replacement when the appliance needs changing.

The existing-fireplace diagnostic appointment is $135. Repair labour, approved parts and required materials are extra. See what the diagnostic fee covers before booking.

For local appointment information, use Coquitlam fireplace repair, Port Moody fireplace repair or West Vancouver fireplace repair. Send the model, serial photo, city and a brief description with your request.

Manufacturer references

Use the document for the exact appliance, fuel, revision and installed accessories. The examples on this page explain decisions; they do not identify a replacement part for your fireplace.
