Brand-specific gas fireplace support

Regency gas fireplace repair starts with the full appliance designation. A model suffix, product revision or control change can alter the part required. A part advertised for a similar Regency fireplace is not enough to approve an order.

Why the revision matters on a Regency fireplace

Regency’s manual library identifies product revisions and effective dates. Examples include Bellavista B36XTCE-11, Panorama P36E-11 and multiple Grandview G600C entries. Read every character on the rating plate rather than stopping at the family name.

The same library separates several Proflame remote versions, FireGenie and Maxitrol GV60 documents. Identify the installed control system before using a remote guide. Regency also offers standing-pilot products, so an electronic-ignition troubleshooting sequence does not fit every appliance.

Match the complaint to the operating sequence

Reported problem Useful information for diagnosis
Pilot will not stay on Does it fail during lighting or after the fireplace has been running?
Pilot remains lit; burner will not start Which wall switch, thermostat or remote is requesting heat?
Remote stopped working after batteries were changed Record the remote identification and any receiver response.
Blower is noisy or does not start Does the sound follow fan speed, and was the appliance already warm?

Ask for a model-correct repair scope

A useful repair quotation identifies the failed component and the Regency reference used to select it. It should distinguish maintenance that restores operation from replacement of a damaged item. If a part number has changed, ask how the replacement is confirmed for the installed model and revision.

For an older unit, check the discontinued-manual record before concluding that current-model parts fit. The availability of a manual does not establish that the valve, pilot, blower, glass or control is still supplied. Confirm the actual part and expected delivery before authorising an order.

Keep previous service notes. If a recently replaced pilot or receiver has not solved the problem, that history changes the diagnostic starting point. Repeating the same part order without testing can leave the original fault in place.

Part repair or a new Regency fireplace?

An isolated supported fault can justify repair when the firebox, glass and vent system remain suitable. Compare a replacement project when essential parts cannot be sourced, damage extends beyond a replaceable component, or a renovation changes what the fireplace needs to do. Request a complete installation scope before comparing it with a repair price.

Questions before you book

Is P36E enough information to order parts?

Send the full model designation, serial number and fuel type. A family name can cover more than one revision.

Does an electronic control problem mean the gas valve failed?

No. Diagnosis must separate the request for heat, power, wiring, ignition and gas-control response before a valve is condemned.

Local repair and your next decision

Bernoulli Heating & Cooling serves Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Book a diagnostic visit for a fault, choose fireplace service for planned maintenance, or compare fireplace installation and replacement when the appliance needs changing.

The existing-fireplace diagnostic appointment is $135. Repair labour, approved parts and required materials are extra. See what the diagnostic fee covers before booking.

For local appointment information, use Burnaby fireplace repair, New Westminster fireplace repair or Delta fireplace repair. Send the model, serial photo, city and a brief description with your request.

Manufacturer references

Use the document for the exact appliance, fuel, revision and installed accessories. The examples on this page explain decisions; they do not identify a replacement part for your fireplace.
