Brand-specific gas fireplace support
Kingsman fireplace parts can change within a model family. Send the serial number with the model and fuel type. On an older standing-pilot appliance, that information can determine which pilot, thermocouple or valve-system part is correct.
A serial range can change the Kingsman parts list
The legacy ZDV3624/3628/3632 manual lists different valve-system items on either side of specified serial-number ranges. It separates natural-gas and propane components too. This is a concrete reason to avoid ordering from the model family or the shape of the old part alone.
Kingsman’s manual directory includes current and older appliances, including ZCV39/42 and legacy ZDV families. It identifies some models as no longer available. A discontinued appliance listing does not, by itself, answer whether a particular service part remains obtainable.
Separate a pilot fault from a burner-request fault

Get the parts check before approving an order
Ask for the applicable model, fuel and serial-range reference in the repair scope. If a part has been superseded, its replacement needs to be confirmed for that configuration. Do not substitute a propane pilot part in a natural-gas appliance or treat a fuel conversion as an ordinary parts swap.
A maintenance issue may be corrected without replacing the pilot assembly. If a sensor or assembly has failed, the decision should consider what is separately serviceable and what the manufacturer requires as a complete replacement. A kit that includes several pieces does not mean every piece independently failed.
Bring any previous invoice or part packaging to the visit. A past replacement that does not match the serial-range requirements is useful information when investigating recurring trouble.
When a Kingsman replacement is worth pricing
Compare replacement when a required approved part is unavailable or when repairing one fault leaves serious appliance or vent defects unresolved. If the fireplace is otherwise serviceable, a supported component repair can still be a reasonable option. Age alone does not select the answer.
